"Blog #3- YouTube"
This blog entry is about a tool in Dr. Wang's PPT T3PP Slide 2.
YouTube is a great tool for teaching through videos and songs. YouTube is a platform that has a variety of videos, this helps make learning more engaging.
Website: YouTube
Ease of use: YouTube is very easy to use. On YouTube, all you have to do is look up the name or words related to a video and a list of results will pop up! Students can also use it at home to get extra help. There are many great math resources explaining equations that students may find helpful!
Versatility: YouTube is pretty versatile because you can find pretty much any kind of video and information that you want on this platform. Making videos on here is fairly easy as well because you don't have to pay for an account. Students can find videos from a variety of subjects such as science, math, history...etc!
Likelihood of using it: As a teacher, I will use YouTube to show educational videos. Students love when there is a fun video to pair with their learning.
Rating: I’d rate YouTube an 8/10 because it is a fun tool but as a teacher, you can't input your own information and ideas into a video unless you create a video yourself.
Connections: YouTube was a resource from the 7 Events and Technologies Worksheet. We listed it as a resource to gain the students attention either through song or an introductory video.
Youtube is something that most people use in their adult lives. It is really great how it can be used for entertainment as well as educationally.
ReplyDeleteYoutube is helpful because it has information about everything! It is also nice that some videos are targeted towards kids.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about YouTube being a great tool for teaching using videos and songs. I like your connection to the "7 Events and Technologies" assignment.
