"Blog #3-Gmail"
This blog entry is about a tool in Dr. Wang's PPT T3PP Slide 2.
Gmail is a great tool for communicating with colleagues and sending information to parents in your classroom.
Website: gmail.com
Ease of use: Gmail is very easy to use. Once you create an account, you can easily message other people through their Gmail account. Gmail allows you to title your messages, attach photos, and send important files. I use Gmail every day to connect with professors, peers, and employers.
Versatility: Gmail is not as versatile as other platforms. Its main purpose is to communicate information and is used as a professional platform. Gmail is not as casual as IMessage; however, it is a quick form of communication. You can also send messages to big groups of people making group projects, collaboration, and announcements easier.
Likelihood of using it: As a teacher, I think I'll use Gmail to communicate with parents and my colleagues. I already use it everyday, so I don't think that will change.
Rating: I’d rate Gmail an 8/10 because it is very useful as a teacher and I plan to use it all of the time. Gmail helps keep me organized and is a great tool for fast communication.
Connections: Gmail easily connects to TLC L2-Learning Through Collaboration because Gmail is a great way to collaborate with other teachers and to share ideas. Students can also use gmail to share documents with one another and to communicate ideas about presentations or group projects!
