"Blog #4- GoNoodle"
This blog entry is about a tool in Dr. Wang's PPT T3PP Slide 3.
GoNoodle is a great resource to educate students as well as help them get their energy out or to calm down. GoNoodle has a variety of resources such as a range of grade levels, school subjects, and interactive activities.
Website: GoNoodle.com
Ease of use: GoNoodle is very easy to use. All you have to do is create a free account and you have access to all videos and activities. GoNoodle focuses on providing fun activities to help a student's learning as well as physical and emotional health. As a teacher, all you have to do is click a video or activity and the learning will begin!
Versatility: GoNoodle is very versatile because it is accessible for all grade levels ranging from Pre-K to 6th grade and above. This is a great resource to use for elementary schoolers but it is also nice to have the option to use it in middle school as well. GoNoodle has resources for many topics including health and nutrition, math, ELA and many more! GoNoodle can be used for yoga, dancing, as well as mindfulness and breathing exercises!
Likelihood of using it: As a teacher, I think I'll use GoNoodle when my students have extra energy. It is a great resource to use as a brain break and to keep students engaged in classroom activities. I’ll also use it for the worksheets it provides and routine practices. These are important to teach students, so they know classroom expectations and provide them with skills to use outside of the classroom as well.
Rating: I would give GoNoodle a 9/10 because of how versatile it is and how many subjects and resources there are. The website is also very fun and colorful. Overall, I will use GoNoodle almost every day in my classroom.
Connections: GoNoodle connects to what we learned about the PICRAT model because it is interactive and amplifies a student’s learning.
I think GoNoodle can be really fun for kids and can provide a good brain break. There are also many subjects the students can learn about through moving which will help the students remember better!
